Twin by Heather Jansch
It wasn’t just horses that fascinated Heather. In addition to Jansch’s usual subject matter she also created a sizeable number of elephants. The example pictured here is known as “Twin” and is shown in the original mixed media. This piece was cast and is available in an edition of fifteen.
A group of Heather’s bronze elephants (the family, so to speak), can currently be seen on exhibition at Lympstone Manor in Devon.
The bronze elephants are still available for purchase, including Child, He’s Not Heavy and Matriarch. However, none of the maquettes are for sale.

Other sculpture by Heather Jansch
This piece forms part of Heather Jansch’s series of elephants, but other examples of her work include her enduringly popular life-size foals, such as Clover and most famously, her life-size horses, best illustrated by The Eden Horse. Heather also made smaller work for interiors, an example being the magnificent Etalon, which regarded by many as her very finest work. In a departure from her usual practice, Heather also produced a series of dancers and warrior women. In addition to this, Heather also made a series of sculptures inspired by Tang Dynasty imagery, an example of which is Jeunesse.
We are following an active programme of casting from Heather’s moulds to finish the editions she began and so Heather’s work continues to be exhibited on a regular basis, and can be seen at The Diehl Gallery in Jackson, WY, and Sculpture by the Lakes in Dorset, UK. As a result, many of her sculptures remain available for purchase.
Our exhibitions page has details of upcoming shows, but if you are considering a purchase and would like to arrange a viewing or additional photographs you are welcome to get in touch.
