Beltane by Heather Jansch
In Beltane the maturity of Heather’s process can be seen for the first time, which, much like his smaller sibling Bellerophon, is characterised by the purity of material Heather found as her process matured. Beltane has a movement and purpose to his stride shared by the very finest and most highly regarded of Heather’s work.
The driftwood original of Bellerophon was made in approximately 2003 and since that time, he has lived in a private collection, not being seen in public until now. Recently, however, Beltane’s owner returned him to us to undergo the process of translation in to bronze. Using the mould-makers and foundry with whom Heather perfected her technique, a glorious edition of seven bronzes is now available.
Unusually, the driftwood original survived the casting process in remarkable condition and is also available.

Other sculpture by Heather Jansch
Other examples of Heather’s work include the enduringly popular life-size foals, exemplified by sculptures such as Cherry Pie. Heather’s small work for interiors included a collection of sculptures like Jeunesse from her Tang series for example, and the magnificent Etalon, regarded by many as her very finest work. In a departure from her usual practice, Heather also produced a series of dancers and warrior women.
There is an active programme of casting from Heather’s moulds to finish the editions she began and so Heather’s work continues to be exhibited on a regular basis, and can be seen at The Diehl Gallery in Jackson, WY, and Pangolin London. Many of her sculptures are available for purchase as a result.
