Zingaro by Heather Jansch
Heather decided to learn the art of bronze, and so starting casting early in her sculptural career. Zingaro, for example, was one of the first bronzes, and first of Jansch’s Tang horses. Zingaro is pictured here in the plaster original form, from which the bronzes were cast. It is missing from the bronze mould, but the original features a dancer, as shown in the photograph.
Zingaro is an early bronze, and so the mould records have been lost, meaning that the edition numbers are uncertain, but similar pieces have been produced in editions of 12. We believe that number five is the next to be cast from the moulds, but until we can be certain, that edition is currently on hold.

Other sculpture by Heather Jansch
The most well known of her work are the enduringly popular life-size foals, such as Clover, and the life-size horses, best illustrated by The Eden Horse. Heather’s smaller work for interiors also included the magnificent Etalon, for example, which is regarded by many as her very finest work. Heather also produced a series of dancers and warrior women.
We are following an active programme of casting from Heather’s moulds to finish the editions she began and so Heather’s work continues to be exhibited on a regular basis, and can be seen at The Diehl Gallery in Jackson, WY, and Sculpture by the Lakes in Dorset, UK. As a result, many of her sculptures remain available for purchase.
