This is what we like to hear: 'Great photos but so much better in the flesh'

log wall and coffee root archway Artists sculpture garden open for charity

This unique southwest devon garden tucked away in a magical valley opens for charity on

April 28th/29th and May 5th/6th

The need to provide a backdrop for life size driftwood horses was the origin of the sculpture garden;  It fast became a contemporary work of art in itself as site specific sculptures gave a new lease of life to fallen trees and discarded building materials.

The story of Its evolution from an impenetrable bramble filled wilderness to one of Devon's most popular private NGS sculpture gardens forms part of Heather Jansch's Diary. It is a favoured place for television crews to film and our visitors return time and again bringing their growing families and friends to picnic by the stream and see first hand the original driftwood horses that set a world wide trend.
